Ontario Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

If you are thinking about immigration to Toronto, Ottawa or any other city in Ontario, consider the Ontario Pilot Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Successful applicants will receive an Ontario Provincial Nomination Certificate, which will speed-up the Canada Immigration (Permanent Resident) Visa application process.

Under the Ontario Pilot Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), you may qualify under one of two categories:

Ontario PNP Employer Category

Before nominating applicants, Ontario employers must first complete the pre-screen application process and they must obtain approval for the positions they wish to fill. 
To be eligible, companies in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) must:

  1. Have been in existence and operation for at least three years preceding the application;
  2. Have at least $1,000,000 gross revenue in the previous fiscal year;
  3. Have at least five permanent full-time employees;
  4. Have a place of business located in Ontario.

Companies outside the GTA have less stringent eligibility criteria.  They must:

  1. Have at least $500,000 in gross revenues in the previous fiscal year;
  2. Have at least three permanent full-time employees.


To be eligible as a nominee under the Pilot PNP, applicants must have a permanent, full-time job offer, for which they are qualified, from an approved Ontario employer in an eligible occupation in one of the three streams of the Employer Category:

1. Professional StreamThe job offer must be for one of the following positions in the health care and education sectors:

3. International Student Stream The applicant must be a recent graduate of a publicly-funded Canadian college or university and have a job offer from an Ontario employer in a professional, managerial, or skilled trades occupation.

 

Ontario PNP Multinational Investor Category

This category is to facilitate the entry of key personnel into companies that are making major investments in Ontario.  Before nominating applicants, Ontario employers must first complete the pre-screen application process and they must obtain approval for the positions they wish to fill. 

To be eligible, companies must:

      1. Make a qualifying investment of $10 million or more in Ontario;
      2. Create 25 net full-time permanent positions.
